Miradouro do Cabo Girão
An attraction that’s certainly not for the faint-hearted, the Skywalk on the cliffs of Cabo Girão should not be missed on your next trip to Madeira. Jutting out of the side of some of the highest cliffs in Europe (580 meters above sea level), the glass walkway offers incredible views of the Madeira coastline, Funchal and the town of Câmara de Lobos.
Porto Moniz Natural Swimming Pools
With their natural beauty and peculiar origins, theses pools are an attraction for thousands of national and international tourists alike. The water is of excellent quality and the infrastructures match the level of excellence of this beach complex. The landscape that surrounds the pools, the panoramic views of the coast and the rugged cliffs are equally attractive.
Câmara de Lobos
It was this traditional fishing village, situated five kilometres from Funchal, which inspired Sir Winston Churchill to paint its lovely surroundings. The village was given its name by the explorers João Gonçalves Zarco and Tristão Vaz Teixeira because of the shape of its bay and the many Mediterranean monk seals (‘lobos’) living there at the time.
Pául da Serra
Paul da Serra in the municipal county of Ponta do Sol, Madeira, is the largest and most extensive plateau of Madeira, at about 24 km2 (9.3 sq mi), with an altitude averaging about 1,500 m (4,900 ft). Its highest point is the peak pico do Paul at 1,640 m (5,380 ft) from where the length of the entire plateau can be viewed. On days with good visibility, both the south and north coasts are visible
Seixal
This is precisely the stunning scenery of one of the most popular beaches in this parish, Porto do Seixal Beach, a natural black sand beach located right next to Seixal harbour. With a breathtaking landscape — the green cliffs and mountains of the island’s north coast — this unsupervised beach offers its visitors access to the toilet facilities, showers and the bar of Clube Naval do Seixal Pools, right next to it, which is a free access facility with a natural pool and sun loungers.

Tour Details
The West Tour Madeira is a must-do for any visitor!
See some of the best landmarks on the Island like Cabo Girão, one of the highest sea cliffs in all of Europe, featuring a glass skywalk that will truly amaze you with its incredible view towards the sea and the Funchal Bay area.
Visit Câmara de Lobos, the quaint fishing village just west of Funchal with many colorful boats, and filled with bars that sell a variety of local drinks and spirits.
The next stop will take you further west to Ribeira Brava, a seaside town that serves as a final stopping point before heading north towards Encumeada. Here you’ll find one of the greenest mountainside areas you will ever have the pleasure of laying your eyes upon. Watch the cascading clouds as you try some traditional Poncha.
Along the plateau of Paul da Serra you’ll find some great views just before descending the mountainside to Porto Moniz.
In Porto Moniz you’ll stop for a while where you can go for a dip in the swimming pools that are naturally filled with seawater from the tides that come and go. Truly one of the Islands’ marvels. Take the time to also have lunch at one of the many great restaurants in the area.
Seixal and São Vicente are the final stops in this Tour and are a nice relaxing way to top off your day before returning to Funchal.
